Location
Willowbrae is situated 45 minutes west of historic Kingston on the east end of Lake Ontario. Home to Fort Henry, many museums, a great selection of restaurants and summer patios by the waterfront, Kingston is one of the places you can catch a boat for a trip down the St. Lawrence to visit the Thousand Islands. To get to us from Kingston you can drive east along the scenic Loyalist Highway by the shores of the lake.
En route to Kingston, on Hwy 33 you will pass through historic Bath, on the shores of Lake Ontario, where you'll find some great eaterie and some interesting shops.
In the other direction, to the west, you'll find the Glenora ferry which takes you across Adolphus Reach to picturesque Prince Edward County and the market town of Picton. The County may be best known for the dozens of wineries and for Sandbanks Provincial Park, which boasts the world’s largest bay mouth barrier dune formation and sandy beaches that are perfect for families.
Twenty minutes to the north is Napanee, our local shopping town located on the Napanee River. There are riverside parks, a boardwalk, a pub on the river bank, and some interesting shops on the main street. Heading west from Napanee you'll find the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, home of the Mohawk Bay of Quinte First Nation.
